Your suggestions for improvement:
An anchor chain swivel is a special, two-piece shackle able to pivot through 360°.
ApplicationsA chain which twists around itself forms kinks, preventing it from riding smoothly over the windlass chain lifter. The chain swivel shackle allows the chain to turn freely without kinking and to pass easily over the lifter.
TechnologiesThis device has two parts linked by a swivel. Thus, the chain attached to one side of the swivel can twist freely without affecting the chain on the other side of the shackle. This avoids kinks in the chain.
How to chooseThe anchor chain swivel must be of the same dimensions and strength as the links of the chain.
- Prevents kinks
- Weak link in the chain
