ApplicationsSuch blankets are generally used in emergencies, such as after abandoning ship. However, they can be used at any time for protection against foul weather. They are included in lifeboat and similar survival kits.
TechnologiesApproved survival blankets feature several important characteristics:
- They are made of waterproof material.
- They cover the entire body, even when wearing a life jacket.
- They reduce heat loss in environments ranging from -30° to +20° C.
