PHANTOM
Your suggestions for improvement:
A triangular windsurf sail, mounted on a mast and controlled by a wishbone, drives the board forward by transforming the wind's power into aerodynamic propulsion. It is made of a monofilm/fabric composite and stiffened by composite battens.
ApplicationsThe sails offered on NauticExpo include models suitable for everything from recreation to racing, with boards adapted to freeride, freestyle, wave, slalom and speed. Some are intended for competition, while others are designed for beginners or practice.
TechnologiesSails are sewn from panels of Mylar® and reinforced high-tech materials. The mast slides into a sleeve along the leading edge of the sail. The rig is completed by a wishbone used to control the sail.
How to chooseThe range of sails designed for different activities is even greater than that of boards. Sail selection is particularly important, even for the ordinary windsurfer using an all-around board. Choice will depend on the user's ability, morphology, windsurfing style and typical wind and water conditions.
When selecting size, keep in mind that the force exerted on the sail varies with the square of the wind speed. Carrying at least two sails of different sizes is essential for maximum flexibility and enjoyment. Mast and sail should be well matched for optimum performance.
