Description

A true “Gran Turismo”, the A62 melds state-of-the art hydro and aero hull dynamics with seductive deck styling and appeal. The new Advanced 62’ combines several aero-hydrodynamic and naval architecture characteristics which make it a genuinely innovative sailing yacht. It is fast, responsive, fun yet easy to sail, safe, comfortable, with plenty of space and volume, both inside and outside. The design was developed using the very latest yacht design technologies and the most advanced tools available in the field, such as parametric CAD and a naval architecture software suite developed over 25 years of America’s Cup design, A true “Gran Turismo”, the A62 merges state of the art hydro and aero dynamics with styling and appeal. The hull, appendages and sail plan are by Roberto Biscontini, a well known name in the world of performance sailing who designed the America’s Cupper Il Moro di Venezia in 1989. He then went on to work with the Pact 95 team, Young America BMW Oracle Racing, Luna Rossa and Team New Zealand, and recently designed Volvo Open 70s with Camper Emirates Team New Zealand. Just one look at this yacht and you want to be out sailing. Agile and clean, simple and efficient, the Advanced A62 delivers superb sailing efficiency and performance combined with ease of handling. Sleek modern exterior styling plus a functional deck layout and ample cockpit make for efficient manoeuvring when racing as well as relaxed outdoor living while cruising. Nauta Yacht Design meticulously planned the spaces below decks to include two functional guest cabins aft (with wide double or twin forward-facing berths), a very bright open plan saloon and an impressive Owner’s Cabin forward.
