AISTER has delivered the aluminium workboat ROSEGA for work against marine pollution, surveillance and other auxiliary services in the Port of Tarragona (Spain). If you want to know what are its dimensions, propulsion and features, please, read on:
he aluminium workboat ROSEGA in detail
The Shipowner Remolcadores de Puerto de Altura, S.A.has relied on our aluminium shipyard, AISTER, located at Vigo’s bay, to build a new aluminium workboat for antipollution work, surveillance, inspection and other auxiliary services in the Port of Tarragona (Spain).
The workboat hull and superstructure are constructed from marine grade aluminium. This material offers several advantages (toughness, resistance, safety…) over others such as steel or fibreglass.
Design
For this project, our technical office has designed an aluminium workboat adapted to the needs of port works.
The ROSEGA incorporates a clear and anti-slip deck, ideal for port work and diving and an anti-puncture collar that allows obtaining a non-floodable floatation reserve in order to ensure buoyancy in any flood condition, making the boat unsinkable and, therefore, safer.
The hull structure is designed for strength but not overly heavy as to affect performance, manoeuvrability, seaworthiness and comfort requirements. The hull design also provides for minimal frictional and wave-making resistance along with the centre of gravity to meet the peak performance envelope and to ensure adequate speed and efficiency.
This aluminium workboat has been designed to navigate in zone C of coastal navigation, with force of the wind up to 6 according to the scale of Beaufort and with waves of up to 2 meters of height.
