Spanish Coast Guard (Guardia Civil) has contracted us to build a new 9.70 m patrol boat. The vessel is intended to provide support for the diver’s department of Murcia (Spain) in diving works, patrolling, and to carry out search and rescue operations.
his new patrol boat called S-38 has a length of 9.70 m, a beam of 3.45 m with the hull built entirely in aluminium. Because of the weather conditions in Murcia, the unit has opted for an open boat with an aluminium hardtop.
The boat has an anti-puncture collar, broad work-space and a wheelhouse protected under an aluminium hardtop.
In this way, the Spanish Coast Guard (Guardia Civil) already have two new patrol boats that will serve as support for their activities. The first unit, S-37, has already been delivered in Coruña and the delivery of the S-38 in Murcia complete the series and marks the end of the contract signed in May between AISTER and Spanish Coast Guard (Guardia Civil).
Design and Equipment
For this new patrol, we have opted for a Nordic design that provides an attractive appearance.
The aluminium deck has a full working area that facilitates crew movement around the patrol boat and a removable bulwark at both sides.
Also, the S-38 stands out for the height between the boat and the surface of the sea, which facilitates the work of divers.
At the bow, there is a console protected by an aluminium hardtop, on the port side a davit with 250 kg hoist capacity and at aft the outboard engines and locks for the storage of materials.
