The ‘Clan Albain’ is a unique design of inshore ferry built for services across a short sea passage on Little Loch Broom to the isolated community of Scoraig on the west coast of Scotland. She is operated by Scoraig sea taxis and is designed for carrying up to twelve persons, she also has disabled access and a securing position for wheelchair passengers. She can carry a wide range of payloads and she is fitted with high density polyethylene skids to allow her to be launched and recovered upon a shingle beach. She is certainly a ‘one off’ boat which has been developed for her specialised task in close co-operation with the operators.
