Six of these oil boom handling boats are destined for operation in Nigeria where they will form part of the emergency oil spill response equipment held by ‘Clean Nigeria Associates’, an oil company cooperative providing spill response cover. These small catamarans are powered by a diesel outboard engine and are designed to provide a light and stable work platform with maximum deck space. They are based upon a derivative of the Alnmaritec ‘Twin Trak’ hull form and are fitted with a detachable tow post and railings to allow them to be stacked for ease of storage and transport.
