Hydrographic survey boat ALN 163 ‘Thea’

Thea has been designed to sit on board her mothership, Fugro Proteus, a new Offshore Coastal Survey Vessel, via a stern ramp arrangement. Her primary role is to survey inland waters that Fugro Proteus is not able to access due to her size and manoeuvrability. This is the first of its kind supplied to Fugro, and has been completely customised to meet her role. A moon pool was designed to assist with their survey operations. An electric/hydraulic crane installation have been incorporated into the design, along with a large survey station, passenger seating for 2 people, 1 helm seat and 1 crew seat. There is a toilet on board and a 7kW Cummins onan generator was installed providing 240v for the survey equipment.
