Cardiff Harbour 5 is a multipurpose harbour workboat designed and built to operate within the rivers of Cardiff, Cardiff Bay and the Severn Estuary. She is robust with substantial fendering including a large pusher bow. One of her many roles includes removing debris from the water, and her low freeboard and large side gates have been built into the design to serve this role. To allow passage under low bridges and on the rivers, a folding mast has been incorporated. The low emission engines are within an insulated engine room for quiet operation, with a Veralift exhaust muffler and soundproof lined wheelhouse makes for low noise level and a good working environment. The boat is equipped with a substantial tow post built into the aft bulwark. She is designed to carry 2 crew in suspension seats, 4 passengers and up to 1 tonne of cargo. Top speed 17 knots.
