Shaw650 The Shaw 650 is a one design performance sailing sportsboat fastest in its size range (under 7m) with growing fleets in Thailand, Australia, Switzerland and USA. Designed by Rob Shaw, there are almost 20 Shaw 650s already racing around the world, and the fleet is growing. Andaman Boatyard is proud to be the official and only production boat supplier of this class, worldwide. We have a dedicated production line for the Shaw 650 within our factory. Each boat is constructed to a strict process, using tight specifications and tolerances to ensure high quality and longevity. Construction is using vinylester with a gelcoat finish, and featuring a number of innovations ‘out of the factory’ to create a boat that is fast straight out of the box. The boat uses a twin spreader carbon mast from C-Tech (www.c-tech.co.nz) combined with light weight composite construction to achieve a total displacement of approximately 335kg including 125kg in the keel/bulb.
