Intuitive and cost-effective ECDIS The ECDIS NX Compact is a powerful Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS), consisting of a pre-configured system of the ECDIS NX application and a 24" multi-touch panel PC. It offers a “plug-and-play” installation and supports customers with an unsurpassed user-friendliness and easy handling at a competitive price. Optimised for retrofits, the ECDIS NX Compact is equipped with interfaces for Ethernet and IEC 61162-1 (NMEA). Simplified installation ECDIS NX ensures reliability right from the beginning as well as reduced cost and effort. Hardware installation and cabling follows standard procedures, software installation is done by USB and supported through a wizard and standard configurates. ECDIS NX Compact is close to a “plug-and-play” solution and reduces the total installation time to about one hour. Intuitive to operate ECDIS NX has a modern, clearly structured user interface. Retractable panels for a maximised chart view, a quick access bar with icons to access all important functions in one tap and intuitive interaction patterns like multi-touch gestures, point to chart or drag and drop make familiarisation with the system easy.
