Our highly adaptable fluke anchor is effective on most seabed types. After years of theoretical and practical testing, it has demonstrated its trustworthiness. The anchor type provided by Aqualine has a high holding capacity to weight ratio, giving it a very low cost per ton of holding capacity compared to any other type of anchor. The anchor penetrates the sea-bed easily thus giving high holding capacity with little dragging of the anchor. The steel construction is very strong and de-signed to withstand the forces which the high holding capacity provides. Since the holding capacity of the anchor is related to the amount of soil to be dis-placed by the anchor when pulled upon by the anchor if it pulled out, the anchor with the largest fluke and deepest penetration will have the highest holding capacity. The holding capacity is also strongly related to the ability of the soil on the seabed to stick together. To obtain a solid anchoring point, compact soil is important and to leave it as undisturbed as possible. Our anchors are therefore designed to not plough up and loosen the soil.​
