A revolutiony new yacht from the familiar ATLANTIC yard.
The Atlantic 40 is a new yacht that is optimized for sailing and handling characteristics, but also to increase the comfort below deck.
The NEW Atlantic 40 is a development philosophy of the Atlantic yard, with tighter design accents on the following:
“lightweight design” where the comfort aspects on handling the boat concerns.
Where safety issues are central, ratification is (oversizing) of existing functionality has been the design focus.
Furthermore, it concerns a qualitative strengthening of the ‘long time’and ‘long distance’ qualities of the Atlantic. The NEW Atlantic 40 will be introduced in three versions: “Singlehanded”, “Coastal” and “North”
These are differentiations of the 40er concept to questions of (international) clients / targets, but also in response to the various fairways, in which the Atlantic's move.
The "Singlehanded" and the "North" will be built with fixed keel and balance rudder. The "Coastal" will be with hydraulic lifting keel in combination with twin balance rudders.
The core values of ATLANTIC are magnified on the comfort aspects, as it has a more generous doghouse and strengthening segment on the bow anchor function with increased compactness.
Also a contribution to improve the comfort is the new and wider entrance, the deck layout with wider gangways and the chain plates are now attached on the hull in line with the skin of the boat. With the realized compactness in this functional design at this length, handling has been improved for the manoeuvres in the harbour.
