Description

In June 2015 Austal entered into a contract with Caspian Marine Services Limited (CMS) of Azerbaijan to construct one 70 metre Large Crew Transfer Vessel. The 30 knot, 150 passenger all-aluminium catamaran, designed by Incat Crowther, was constructed by Austal Australia and Austal Philippines and delivered to CMS in September 2016. Caspian Marine Services Limited operates a fleet of offshore marine support vessels, serving the offshore oil and gas exploration and production industry in the Caspian Sea region. The 70 metre Large Crew Transfer Vesse features DP-2 dynamic positioning and a heave compensated Ampelmann gangway, enabling the safe, efficient transfer of crew and cargo to offshore platforms, operated by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and British Petroleum (BP).
