Since a few months, Bernard Shipyards have been studying the construction of coast guard and survey craft from 12m to 25m with the « armoured integration » anti-projectile option, adapted against the threats of handgun and Kalashnikov-style shoulder weapons Characteristics These coast guard crafts will offer : • - Survey and coast guard opération • - Day and night patrol on site • - Border patrol • - Escort of watercraft • - Escort of private vessel with VIP • - Récognition on zone before opération • - VIP transport • - Fight against maritime piracy • - Prévention of possible attacks on merchant vessels • - Fight against illicit trafficking • - Logistical assistance for divers or scuba-divers • - Towing of decoy or underwater disturbers These patrol craft are built according to the Bureau Veritas and Lloyd's construction and régulation standards; hull made of monolithic PRVT; structure, wheelhouse and deck in PVC / PRVT sandwich. The line-hulls are designed to offer an excellent behavior in rough sea conditions at high speed and an acoustic comfort for the crew. Optional: to cover dangerous missions The coast guard survey boats are fitted with composite armoured kits for the hull and wheelhouse (underwater hull and upperworks), plus ballistic glazing. These kits are laboratory tested to stop the threat of projectiles type Kalashnikov AK47.
