SSX40/SSX45 are telescoping single-lift spreaders for use in STS cranes. The spreaders are designed for higher throughput environments and for service on high-speed cranes. Possible container combinations: 20´, 40´, (45´) Bromma single-lift SSX40/SSX45 spreaders are known throughout the world for exceptional strength, reliability, and long life. SSX40/SSX45 can adjust its length to lift 20´, 40´ and 45´containers (SSX45) using ISO floating twistlocks. Bromma achieves superior structural strength through strategic engineering tools, such as finite element modeling, which analyzes stress points on the spreader and projects the likely effect of accumulated stress over time. The spreader can retract to the 19’6″ position in case it becomes jammed in the ship’s 20´cell.
