The client had very specific design and performance requirements: a high-speed sport fishing motor yacht, a hull that was efficient at slow trolling speeds, an exceptionally shallow draft (5 feet), long-range capabilities (over 7,000 gallon fuel capacity), good visibility from the various fishing stations and stable sea-keeping qualities. The client’s Project Manager, a very experienced yachtsman, was intensely involved in setting the design criteria and in working with Burger’s engineering and design groups to finalize the ultimate details of the boat.
