The "Thomson" azimuth device has two different coloured, swivelling shadow glasses for sun bearings. The side bearing is read on the graduated ring of the compass via index marks on two sides of the direction finder.
Compass bearings can be taken via the rose chart using a rotating glass prism with an index thread. A built-in spirit level in the frame indicates whether the sight is correctly aligned horizontally.
The scope of delivery also includes a shadow pin for inserting into the centre piece of the compass.
This sight fits our TYPE/11 and TYPE/12 reflective and bearing compasses.
The sighting diopter is certified according to ISO25862 and IEC60945.
The instrument is safely stowed in the plastic case supplied.
