INTERCEPT 48 can perform interception missions up to 20 miles off the coast at a service speed of 45 knots, thanks to its two waterjets driven by two thermal engines that ensure maneuverability and reliability. INTERCEPT 48 can accommodate up to 12 shipwrecked persons in addition to the 6 crew members and ensures safe navigation even in rough seas. The polyurethane hull fender allows the INTERCEPT 48 to board controlled vessels without risk of damage and its shallow draft ensures access to shallow water areas.
Moving in
- INTERCEPT 48 is equipped with an ergonomic and functional cockpit, in which all the radio navigation equipment necessary for the proper conduct of the vessel is integrated. 6 Shoxs 2000 seats ensure robustness and comfort thanks to their shock absorbing technology.
On the lower deck, there is a kitchenette and a mess, and on the bow, a rest area with 2 bunk beds. A bathroom with sink and sanitary facilities is located on the port side, between the kitchenette and the rest area.
The ship's foredeck is equipped with a gun turret to ensure the safety of the crew during delicate operations. The turret is accessible from the forward cabin.
Radio navigation devices
The cockpit is equipped with all the radio navigation equipment that allows the vessel to carry out its intended missions safely and accurately. The console is equipped with a compass, a radar, a GPS, a chart reader, a depth sounder, a fixed and a portable VHF, an AIS transponder and an EPIRB.
Motorization
The two thermal engines driving the waterjets allow for optimal performance in terms of speed, traction and maneuverability.
