This amphibious vehicle has two diesel engines, a 6 liter Turbo Ford rated at 325 hp, and a Turbo Yanmar marine engine rated at 240 hp. There are two 9000 pound capacity Warn winches mounted on the front and rear of the vehicle. It also contains an onboard Lowrance GPS Navigation System. The H2O EX Extreme has an 8 point roll cage capable of lifting the vehicle from above with crane lifting eyes.
A Global Positioning System (GPS) is available for extensive travel and mapping abilities. CD’s for the Global Positioning System are available for all countries around the world. The H2OEX’s dimensions are as follows: 8’wide; 19’ long; 8’3” to the top of the roll bars; and it weighs approximately 9,500 pounds.
The diesel fuel tank has a 55 gallon holding capacity. The same fuel tank is used for both land and marine applications. The H2OEX gets approximately 13.5 mpg.
The front hull has a reinforced 3/8” aluminum plate capable of pushing over medium size trees without damage to the H2O EX.
Over sized floatation tires and all wheel drive give this vehicle the momentum to plunge into or charge out of the water, be it a paved ramp or a sandy beach.
Marine operation is a jet drive with forward and reverse thrust being controlled by the Morse shifter on the console. Steering and handling with a jet drive is enhanced by the throttle. Additional steering can be available at any time by using the front wheels.
