This portable ultrasonic leak detector is designed to locate leaks and identify seal failures in any closing appliances or compartments, such as weathertight doors on marine vessels or watertight doors (WTDs) or windows on any structures from offshore oil & gas platforms to transportation vehicles. Evaluate watertight integrity of seals using Ultrasonic Testing (UT) which provides a simple and reliable method of checking seals of any closing appliances or structures. The Cygnus Hatch Sure system consists of a battery powered transmitter, a lightweight receiver and telescopic extension inspection microphones. The powerful transmitter with 19 ultrasound emitters (40 kHz) distributes an omni-directional sound field which uniformly fills the areas under test. The receiver detects any ultrasound that gets through any gaps in the closed door or compartment and displays the sound energy level, identifying the location of leaks or damaged seals quickly and reliably.
