Slewing type davit with hydraulic and/or electric drive for rescue boats, liferafts, Suez boats and storage handling.
After embarkation the boat is slewed from the stowed position to the lowering position by means of hydraulic stored power. The lowering procedure is performed by gravity. The system is also suitable for lowering a raft including the full complement of persons, due to gravity, from the embarkation position to the water level.
In order to allow a lowering and hoisting procedure as appropriate, the system is equipped with an electric winch. Hoisting of the fully equipped rescue boat, including the crew, can be released by means of the incorporated electric motor.
In case of power failure or malfunctioning of the electric system, hoisting of the rescue boat can also be realised manually.
