Launching and recovery of the rescue boat are done by a winch with either manual or with hydraulic (stored power) drive.
The davit with the fully manned boat is luffed from the stowed position to the lowering position by means of hydraulic cylinder. The lowering is done by gravity. Both motions, the luffing and the lowering, can be controlled from either the winch or from inside the boat.
Hoisting of the fully equipped boat, including the operation crew, is realised with an incorporated electric motor.
In case of power failure or malfunctioning of the electric system, hoisting can also be done manually.
