Van der Velden Marine Systems developed dedicated software for data analyses, displaying ship and product performance monitoring, giving the owner and user (captain/helmsman) more information about the condition of relevant components. This results in more efficient ship behaviour with a reduction of fuel consumption and emissions. At the same time, less overload on rudder and steering gear will stretch out the interval of the maintenance cycles and the lifespan. ADVANTAGES Full insight into the performance and current status of ship components. The software algorithms will even predict the replacement of the most crucial parts in the rudder(s) and steering system. Onboard monitoring: With class approved build-in LED Touchscreen displays (size 5”, 7” and 10.5”), this system makes feedback possible at any time (24 hours a day, 7 days a week). It is equipped with its own WiFi system access. It can be accessed from anywhere on board (repeater WiFi antennas required). Shore-based monitoring: Using 4G GSM or at sea the on board Broadband Satellite data transport systems, a full insight of on shore based stations can be achieved, giving superintends and ship managers a good view of the behaviour of all ship movements. Service monitoring: DMC's service engineers will connect mobile service stations directly to the PMS2020 for failure analyses and repair jobs.
