DISCOVERY 54S
Designed by Dubois Naval Architects the Southerly 54 S has been reimagined by the Discovery team to offer a highly capable yacht for Bluewater sailing with family and friends. The Southerly Keel System offers superb versatility, and freedom of navigation in shallow waters. Push-button sail handling and bow/stern thrusters allow the yacht to be handled by a couple.
At the push of a button the keel can be raised to reduce the draft to less than 1.2m, allowing far greater freedom to access tidal harbours and inshore navigation. The 54 S Cast Iron grounding plate allows the yacht to dry out safely when required. With the keel down and a draft of over 3.3m the 54 S offers excellent windward performance thanks to the high aspect keel fin.
The centre aft cockpit offers a superb vantage point when sailing from the twin wheels, a protected space for guests on deck and a large uncompromised aft cabin. The open aft deck is perfect for Sunbathing, and relaxing.
