The similarity of the EAGLE 18 line to the most radical and advanced Class-A-catamarans is not by accident. The 18-HT-Class is also called "Class-A-Catamaran on steroids for two".
The hulls of the 18 foot EAGLE catamaran show a highly modern wave piercing nose. This bow design generates nevertheless enough buoyancy at the prow area to carry two persons. There are two versions of the EAGL 18: the 18 with jib and a shorter mast and the 18HT. Both catamarans' hulls are laminated using high quality Epoxy resin. For theat reason a single hull weighs only 21 kgs! The carbon masts are made by the well renown specialist Marström, both cats have beams, booms, daggerboards and ruddersystems fully made of carbon fibre. Pentex Sails are made by Ulmann or Landenberger, both known for their highly effective race sails. The high performance sail area of the EAGLE 18 is divided in a mainsail of 16,8 m2 and a jib of 3,2 m2. All fittings are made by Harken.
