The importance of environmental and health related issues has been steadily increasing, as has the demand for pollution reduction – particularly in relation to the upcoming regulations on dust and particulate matters emissions. Our WESP technology was created with these in mind. The Wet Electrostatic Precipitator (WESP) system has been developed for marine applications to eliminate plume visible at stack, especially during engine start-up and at low loads, capturing particle matter (PM2.5 and lower) and part of the condensable species (SO3). It can be installed downstream of the DeSOx tower and features low pressure drop and high removal efficiency. The WESP, as an option for both Open Loop and Hybrid EGCS, can be integrated into an existing DeSOx tower, or installed as a stand-alone unit.
