Description

Some batteries offer massive cranking power. Others, deep cycle reserve power. ODYSSEY® Extreme batteries do both. Built with advanced Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology, ODYSSEY Extreme batteries deliver engine-cranking pulses up to 2700 amps for 5 seconds, and can handle 400 charge-discharge cycles to 80% depth of discharge. Twice the overall power and three times the service life of conventional batteries ODYSSEY Extreme batteries feature 99% pure lead plates that are extremely thin, so more of them fit in the battery. More plates means more power – twice as much as conventional batteries, plus three times the service life. Like many spiral-wound batteries, ODYSSEY Extreme batteries employ sealed, dry cell Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) technology, which allows the battery to be installed even on its side. Massive starting power: engine cranking pulses up to 2700 amps for five seconds Extreme temperature tolerance: -40°F (-40°C) to 140°F (60°C) for non-metal jacket models; -40°F (-40°C) to 176°F (80°C) for metal jacket models Longer life: 8-12-year design life; 3-10-year service life Vibration resistant: protection against high-impact shock and vibration
