Description

When master boatbuilder Ralph Ellis designed the Ellis 24, he started with a half model. Pulling from his decades of experience building downeast yachts, he shaped the Ellis 24 semi-displacement hull into a versatile 24 footer that is adaptable to multiple types of engine installations (inboard, stern drive, single outboard, or twin outboards). The Ellis 24 can be built with a full keel (when using the inboard engine) or with a reduced keel (with stern drives and outboards). The two Cabin models (Express Cruiser and Lobster Yacht) are roomy enough for a couple to cruise around and drop anchor overnight (v-berth, sink, and head included). The two open models (Open Fisherman and Runabout) are excellent day-cruisers for those needing space for the whole family. And, when you are done with your trip, you can put it on a trailer and drive away! On Lakes or on Oceans, the Ellis 24 is a stable, comfortable, fast, and dry downeast cruiser. Length overall 24′ 4″ Maximum beam 8′ 6″ Draft (inboard) 2′ 4″ Draft (outboard) 1′ 6″ Headroom (cabin) 5′ 10″ Headroom (shelter) 6′ 2″ Displacement 4-6,000 lbs.
