Description

A REVOLUTION IN VHF MARINE COMMUNICATION It will change your VHF experience forever. With an intuitive touchscreen handset engineered for durability, the Cortex V1 is a communications hub that integrates strong, clear audio with the power of AIS collision avoidance — plus remote systems monitoring and control from onboard or ashore. With up to 85 dBA of crystal-clear audio power, the Cortex V1 system delivers superior sound quality. The included Cortex H1 handset offers easy one-hand operation with touchscreen, click-wheel and select keys. A built-in SOTDMA AIS transponder proactively warns you of certain collision threats with voiced alerts. Quickly initiate DSC direct calls by tapping the AIS boat symbol on the handset’s touchscreen. Cortex apps let you monitor boat systems, receive alerts and remotely control devices from your compatible smartphone. NMEA 2000® networking allows you to view Cortex data on your connected MFDs and chartplotters. VHF, AIS AND MONITORING Cortex V1 is an advanced multi-station VHF radio with remote monitoring and control. The Cortex V1 system includes a Cortex M1 hub and Cortex H1 tethered handset. Connect additional Cortex handsets (sold separately) for even more freedom and control on board. COLLISION AVOIDANCE Cortex smartAIS continuously monitors AIS information from other boats and calculates crossing situations, generates collision alarms and provides easy-to-understand avoidance cues. Data from its built-in heading sensor is also broadcast, so other vessels can clearly identify which direction your boat is moving.
