The new Grand Soleil 40 has all the credentials to replicate the great success of the GS 44, winner of the last ORC World Championship. Designed by Matteo Polli, the hull's design is an evolution of the winning concepts behind the GS44. The careful balancing of volumes as heeling increases ensures superior form stability and a consistently optimal wetted surface, translating into high average speeds and remarkably tight upwind angles. The sharp, slender bow entries guarantee a smooth passage through the waves and minimal resistance in light airs. The deck lines, developed in partnership with Nauta Design, express a clean, essential and sporty aesthetic: a sleek profile where design serves performance directly. The decidedly aft mast placement optimizes the sail plan, creating a wider "J" and a more powerful and efficient sail area.
