Slightly larger than the Griffon-Cougar C10 the C11 Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) offers greater flexibility for powering and payload.
The hull is designed with chines and a dual-step to improve acceleration whilst he stem is flattened to provide a wide area for dis-embarking and boarding over the bow; the structure will be of a fibre reinforced composite construction using glass fibre, aramid fibre and vinylester resin. A hybrid foam/air inflatable collar is fitted around the gunwale and constructed using heavy-duty 'Hypalon' material with rubber reinforcement on the outside surface to withstand frequent impacts and abrasion encountered during boarding operations.
The vessel is arranged with a command console aft fitted with main controls, steering, navigation and communications equipment. Shock-mitigating seats for the crew will be positioned forward of the command console. A hardtop is available for fitting above the console and seating area to provide protection from the weather.
Power is provided by a twin or triple outboard motor installation with power-assisted hydraulic steering and electronic engine controls offering speeds of up to 65 knots.
