Thanks to its long narrow shape, the SEAWAVE kayak is easy to control and very fast. It can be converted from a three-person version into a two-person or one-person kayak by moving the seats. Installation of an optional deck makes SEAWAVE a great sea kayak convenient for cruising in rough sea conditions, i.e. with swell and waves generated by a force 3 to 6 winds (provided that its paddlers have sufficient experience and technique to do so). Aluminium reinforcements support the deck and stiffen the kayak’s hull. The floor features a pronounced keel for handling in the wind and better tracking. SEAWAVE is an excellent verzatile touring kayak suitable also for seakayaking.
Seawave is one of a few inflatable kayaks featuring a pronounced, unyielding curvature under the side tubes. This is the key element in the shape of the hull: it enables the SEAWAVE to climb waves and/or swell, without just bumping into or passing through, but instead following the wave’s ascending or descending line with fluidity, without loosing the speed generated by the paddler(s). This curvature is determined by the assembly angle, hand made during the production, with a constraint maintaining the longitudinal curvature of the two air chambers.
High voluminous Bow
High voluminous bow acts as a „plough-spreader“ and together with the volume and high buoyancy has the direct effect of raising the kayak quickly over the waves.
The 40 cm rocker at the Seawave bow is between 5 and 10 cm higher than on most of the inflatable kayaks. That, and the volume of the tip, means it can easily overcome waves, including rolling waves and small breaking waves that would overwhelm most inflatable touring kayaks.
