FRC903 Fast Rescue Craft outboard 2 x 225 Mercury DLRG The DLRG | Ortsgruppe Drochtersen e.V. and Habbeké Shipyard have signed the contract for the design, construction, and delivery of a Fast Rescue Craft © 903 OB. The agreement was signed in Hoorn by board members of DLRG| Ortsgruppe Drochtersen e.V. and Habbeké Shipyard CEO Orm de Waart. The new FRC © 903 OB is the replacement for their current Lifeboat. The FRC © 903 OB is a further development of the FRC © 903 in service by the KNRM (Nikolaas Class Lifeboat). The boat will be equipped with two Mercury 225 outboard engines, which will reach a top speed of over 45 knots (80 km/h). The Lifeboat will be deployed on the river Elbe, Northern Germany.
