PVB INTERLAYER
Laminated safety glass consists in two or more sheets of glass joined together by one or more sheets of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) and it is obtained by heating and pressure process.
PVB achieves, at the end of the manufacturing process, high and stable characteristics over time in terms of transparency and adhesion to glass sheets.
The PVB interlayers have an excellent ability to absorb the energy of an impact and to disperse it quickly, maintaining the shape even after the break, and avoiding any injuries due to the glass fragments. In case of glass breakage, the fragments remain adherent to the interlayer.
SGP® INTERLAYER
SentryGlas® is a ionoplast interlayer that helps creating safer, lighter and more performing laminated glass.
SentryGlas® is extremely stiff and strong, and ensures a high adhesion of the glass sheets to each other, making the laminated glass more resistant to loads and impacts than traditional laminated glass.
Therefore, laminated glass with SentryGlas® shows low mechanical strain under loads, and almost the same behaviour as monolithic glass of the same thickness .
Glass laminated with SentryGlas® can withstand much higher impacts than common laminated glass with PVB interlayers, and has got an excellent outstanding post-breakage resistance to creep and collapse.
DG41® INTERLAYER
DG41® structural pvb interlayer is a tough, resilient film used in all glass applications that require high structural performance.
DG41® guarantees excellent adhesion between the glass sheets with maximum resistance to high and low temperatures, even after impacts and under stress.
