The Commodore 42 was designed in 2001 to build on the reputation of the Commodore 36 and to provide discerning owners with a top quality sea-kindly cruising boat with lively performance.
The latest Commodore 42’s are capable of nearly 28 knots of cruising at exceptional speeds in comfort in heavy weather.
Construction
With particular emphasis on stability and sea-keeping at higher speeds, Andrew Wolstenholme incorporates all the latest ideas in semi-displacement to spectacular effect.
The side decks are wide and safe with high handrails all round conforming to the MCA workboat code if required. Access from the side decks to the pontoon is unusually easy for this size of boat – a short step to the rubbing band and another to the pontoon, a bonus for the crew.
