The IRIS065 measures only 6cm (2.36″) in diameter by 5.8cm (2.28″) high. It’s stylish, rounded body is cast from aluminium which is then anodised and powder coated in a marine white finish for environmental protection. The camera module itself is a Sony Super HAD II CCD device which is renowned for excellent low light performance and in low light conditions the camera automatically switches from full colour to monochrome in order to deliver the crispest video images. 6 Infra Red LED illuminators also kick in when it’s dark providing around 25~30ft viewing in zero light conditions. The IRIS065 is an analogue only (CVBS) camera available in PAL or NTSC video systems and outputs composite video at a resolution of 700TVL, compatible with all major chart plotters, marine monitors and TV’s and Iris switching, recording and encoding equipment. Typical applications include: visual aid for backup and docking, engine room monitoring, companionway monitoring, on board safety, security and situational awareness. The IRIS065 comes as standard with a 3.6mm fixed lens providing a horizontal viewing angle of around 80˚. Also available upon request is a wide angle 2.8mm lens which offers 110˚ HFOV.
