Jerryborg Marine is the leading manufacturer for ISO14409:2011 or CB/T 3795 rubber airbags/marine inflatable airbags, supplying to shipyards & trading companies in over 6 continents for ship launching, repairs & mobilisation use. Our ship launching airbags have sizes up to 2.5m in diameter and 26m in length for supporting and transporting heavy structure up to more than 10,000 tonnes. Some marine airbags for salvage buoyancy purposes can go up to 4.0m in diameter.
Outer Rubber
To protect the reinforcement tyre cord layers from abrasion and other external forces, the rubber compound much have sufficient tensile and tear strength to withstand any weather condition and hard usage. Prior to the air bag production, the outer and inner rubber layers shall be tested to meet the criteria in the following table of ISO14409:2011 in accordance with the test methods given in the International Standards listed as well in the table.
Synthetic-Tire-Cord Reinforcement Layer
Reinforcement layer of the ship launching airbags are made of rubber dipped synthetic-tire-cord fabrics. bespoken synthetic-tire cord layers are twined at ideal angles by unique and patented “Holistic Intertwined Technology” which hold the internal pressure and distribute the stress evenly in the operation process. Jerryborg Marine use the 1400dtex/3 type synthetic-tire-cord fabric. The breaking strength is more than 310 N per cord, which is higher than the technical requirement marked in ISO14409:2011 “5.1.3 As a reinforcing material, the warp should be (90±5) cords per 100 mm in width, and the breaking strength shall be more than 205 N per cord”
