Internal lock KMH2. Working load up to 2.5T.
An internal lock is a hook integrated into the mast and dedicated to the sails in front of the mast (staysail, gennaker, codes,…). The KMH lock is particularly innovative and efficient. From the KMH5, the entire locking system is accessible under its cover (2 screws) and can then be removed without tools. Unlike many other locks, the sheave is not under tension once the sail is hooked. This innovation makes it possible to avoid the use of high-load strop and reduces the compression of the mast. For many of our competitors, access to mechanics is almost impossible at sea.
The internal hook is often preferred to the external hook on larger units for aesthetic reasons and usage patterns. A lock (internal or external) makes it possible to completely remove the tension in the halyard. The halyard no longer needs to be sized to hold the load, the halyard jammer is no longer useful, the lock removes the elasticity of the halyard which distorted the sail profiles. The mast compression decreases. KMH : Simple and aesthetic. Reliability above all !

STRENGTHS
– The hooking mechanism can be completely dismantled without tools and without having to dismantle the support. It is very easily accessible and is not inside the mast.
– Access to the mechanism by a cover in a customizable color (black as standard, yellow, red, carbon, etc,…)
– Ultra proven hooking technology. Same technology as our KFH hooks on board 70% of the boats in the last Vendée Globe.
