The Model 7033 outboard motor steering cylinder was designed to be attached directly onto the late model outboard motor brackets. The draglink provided is used to connect the cylinder rod onto the motor tiller arm with stainless steel shoulder bolts. The swiveling arrangement between the cylinder and the mounting bracket allows the cylinder to be raised or lowered to suit the height of the tiller arm. The cylinder is of extremely heavy duty construction. Being made entirely of bronze and stainless steel, it will handle 300 horsepower motors with ease. Since the cylinder bolts directly onto the outboard motor bracket and being supported by the motor, it swivels with the motor when the motor is raised or lowered, thus takes away all the stress on the draglink which now is used primarily to rotate the motor. This cylinder is ideally suited for all heavy duty outboard motor applications. The standard stroke is 7-1/2”. Upon special request, any stroke length is available. The cylinder can also be ordered epoxy-coated.
