Cargo heating systems for inland vessels The efficient Konutherm thermal oil systems are commonly applied to heat the cargo of inland tankers. In general, the installation consists of a compact, direct fired heater which enables heating of the cargo via an heat transfer fluid (thermal oil, water, water/glycol) through coils with minimum heat loss. When required the system can be equipped with a butterworth heater and/or steam heater. For special cargo (chemicals) the heating systems can be designed with fully separated primary and secondary thermal fluid circuit. The Konutherm heat transfer systems can be used for any type of cargo and can be recognized by their reliability, high efficiency and compact design! Our heat transfer systems can be designed in accordance with any applicable classification body, such as ABS, DNV-GL, BV, LRS, CCS, RMRS, Rina, etc.
