Kapaneema is a torque-free, 12-strand single-braid construction, made of UHMWPE fibers (Dyneema SK75, SK78 etc). Very strong, yet very light, it is an ideal wire rope replacement, offering the same breaking force and weighing only one seventh of a conventional steel wire rope. Kapaneema ropes have been subjected to a special treatment process that ensures protection against abrasion, sand, and salt penetration, while they are UV-resistant. Kapaneema ropes are easy to handle, easily spliced, and offer safety onboard.Neema 8 & Kapaneema 12-strand ropes are easy to handle, easily spliced, and offer safety onboard.
Due to low elongation characteristics, during mooring operations, they must be connected with the appropriate mooring tails.
