Kapaneema S.b.D. is a round shape 12 strands rope that consists of high tenacity UHMWPE continuous fibers. It has the strongest tensile strength per weight, stronger than the similar diameter conventional wire ropes. S.b.D. Kapaneema ropes have been sustained to special treatment process which ensures protection against abrasion and UV resistant. They have extremely low coefficient of friction, last longer, reduce operation costs and are easier and safer to handle in comparison to wire ropes. Due to low elongation characteristics (similar to wire rope) it is necessary on mooring operations to be connected with the appropriate mooring tails. S.b.D. is intending for reducing rope recoil (snap back) and it is not influencing rope’s performance indicators. Kapaneema S.b.D. is in accordance with CI 1500:2015 and in the intend of CI 1502:2006.
