Description

NEW! ALL 3 HERITAGE CLASSICS COME AS AMAZING SAILBOATS. The sailboat package provides you with everything that you will need to convert your Heritage from the traditional rowing dory to a sailboat. You can order your Heritage this way, or convert an existing Heritage. The Heritage 12 was specifically designed to be a combination rower boat and sail boat. She does both well. The stability is fine under sail, yet the extreme lightweight and famous Heritage shape make her a joy to row. It comes with a straight forward main sail, stepped through the forward seat. All components can be rigged at sea, and stowed on board. The Heritage 15 and Heritage 18 are known for being remarkably stable under oar. In fact, to this day there has not been a single reported capsize. But sailboats heel to the side under sail. To prevent this, the Sailboat Package has a new Flotation Sponson that attaches to the rub rail and inflates. This makes these remarkable rowing boats extremely stable for sailing. It adds a mere 6 lbs., and slides on and off with ease. Even better, it does not touch the water when rowing, so removing it is optional.
