Launched in October 2012, this 10 metre custom racing catamaran comes from the drawing board of Bakewell-White Yacht Design, and was commissioned by a syndicate of well-known Auckland sailors.
Lloyd Stevenson Boatbuilders were contracted to build the hulls, with all structural components fitted, daggerboard cases and rudder tubes installed and ready for paint. High quality female split moulds were built to construct the hulls in. The owners then completed the fit out and assembly of the boat themselves to a very high standard.
The hull shells and internal structure are epoxy resin infused carbon fibre with foam cores. Strict quality controls have been utilized to ensure all components are built to specified weight targets.
With her race boat construction, carbon rig from NZ Rigging, Harken deck gear and Evolution Sails sail wardrobe, this yacht promises to provide very exciting racing. The design is capable of achieving Category 3 classification to enable it to compete in the Coastal Classic and other coastal yacht races.
