Designed for Indonesia's new Maritime Security Agency Bakamla, this variant of the original 63m trimaran design is intended for a wide variety of roles, including coastal patrol, search and rescue, disaster relief, fisheries, border control etc.
The General Arrangement includes accommodation for 10 officers and 20 ratings, wardroom and mess, conference room, laboratory, medical centre, interrogation room and detention facilities. The bridge is arranged to offer 360 degree visibility and is immediately adjacent to the command and control centre.
A winching deck is included for helicopter supply and evacuation purposes, whilst an 11m fast RIB intended to carry intercept and boarding personnel is carried in a stern garage on a quick deployment and retrieval cradle.
Power options considered during conceptual design phase include both twin and triple 16V2000 MTU on conventional shafts for a sprint speed capability exceeding 30 knots.
Range is projected to be in the order of 3000 nautical miles at 15 knots, permitting the ship to cover large areas of the Indonesian archipelago between bunkering stations.
