The LVM motor, with its characteristics of reliability and robustness, is positioned in a range of output where it remains amongst the few still with the construction features of a HEAVY-DUTY engine, like the gear distribution and cooled turbine. We have recently completed the certification process in compliance with the RCD2 standard for the ML704 family of engines, (4 cylinder, 2.8 litre) with a maximum power up to 225 bhp.
Our ML706 engines are all 4-stroke diesel engines with direct injection, electronically regulated "common rail" fuel systems, a turbocharger and an aftercooler. In addition, the cooling takes place by means of a freshwater-seawater heat exchanger with separate circuits, with a removable tubular beam for easy and accessible maintenance, essential for the precise repair of marine engines.
