Retractable wheels In this slideshow, La Maltière presents the "Retractable wheels" option. Retractable wheels are available as an option on all our boats. These retractable wheels are made entirely in our workshop in Levaré, Mayenne. When sailing, it's best to remove the retractable wheels to avoid the small geyser that forms when driving on the water. However, when the retractable wheels are removed, there's no way of knowing that the boat is fitted with them, as the deflector that receives the wheel axle is welded to the underside of the boat.
