Description

The MarFlex Pneumatic Draining Pump is a self-priming, double-acting piston pump that removes all cargo residue from the well, acting as a stripping pump in the cargo tank after discharging with the main Deepwell Pump. The MPDP is applicable up to a maximum tank depth of 8 meters and utilizes pressurized, clean, and dry air is used to pump any leftover cargo out of the tank. The pump is in principle suitable for cargoes ranging from -15 to 100 °C, however, it has been set at 90 °C to follow ATEX standard. Types of cargo Typically, the MPDP can handle the same range of different chemicals that its tandem pump, the MDPD, can handle. Materials used The MPDP is made using AISI 316L stainless steel.
